The "Dosie" Farm stretches out into the Hood Canal at the base of the glacier-clad Olympic Mountains. The watermen who work here brave fierce winter wind and waves, and the persistent northwest rains to bring in the harvests. But when the clouds part and the winds calm there are few places as beautiful. Eagles soar above the tidelands, and blue herons stalk the shallows. Mount Rainier shrugs its snow covered shoulders in the distance, and the deep blue flanks of the Olympics stand sharply against the sky above the tideland.

The waters may be cold and the conditions can be harsh, but the oysters and clams grown here are among our best. Broad flat tidelands and gentle tides mean we don't need to resort to culture bags or long lines to protect our oysters. Our Manila clams thrive in the gravelly ground, making the Dosie our second largest clam producing farm.
