Geoduck
With some individual specimens exceeding fifteen pounds, the geoduck (pronounced gooey-duck) clam is the largest burrowing clam in the world, and is the largest clam of any sort in the northern hemisphere. It occurs from the intertidal areas to the very bottoms of our deepest waters (600 feet). There is a great sport fishery for it, as well as an extensive commercial fishery. Commercial divers harvest them using pressure water jets.
