Taylor Shellfish Farm's Story

Posted by Taylor Shellfish

Here is an exclusive peek inside Taylor Shellfish's farming process.  We start at our hatchery in Quilcene, WA where our oyster, geoduck and mussel seed begin. Then the oyster seed moves to our floating nursery in Shelton, WA where it is sorted by size and stored until it grows large enough to be planted in a bay.  All of the boats that we use are built in our own fabrication shop.  Clam and geoduck harvesting is subject to the tides and takes place all along the Puget Sound.  Once our shellfish is harvested, it passes through our processing plant in Shelton and then on to our Restaurants in Seattle, WA.  We hope you enjoy our Tide to Table experience!
